An 80’s Prom to Celebrate FCS and Their 80th Birthday

Family and Children’s Services (FCS) knows how to embrace a theme — this organization celebrated its 80th birthday with an aptly themed ‘80s Prom. The Honey Alexander Center was transformed into the prom venue of high school dreams, every surface graced with shiny fabrics and neon lights. Strong-shouldered blazers, big hair, blue eyeshadow, dancing shoes and worn-at-night sunglasses filled the room as ‘80s cover band Rubiks Groove kicked off the dance floor with none other than Prince’s “1999” — ironically released in 1982.
